Job Description
Air Conditioning Engineer
M4 & M5 Corridor
Up to £50,000 + Benefits
A leading building services provider is looking for an HVAC Engineer to join their maintenance team on a prestigious contract looking after commercial buildings in the M4 & M5 Corridor region.
Working as an AC engineer you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of the landlord plant, ensuring the site's HVAC and mechanical systems operate efficiently.
The Role:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) & Reactive Maintenance
- Servicing and fault-finding on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems
- Water treatment tasks, including dosing, temperature checks, and cooling tower maintenance
- Monitoring and operating the BMS to optimise building performance
- Working on pressurisation units, chilled water systems, and AC units
- Supporting critical HVAC systems in temperature-sensitive scientific research labs
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and building standards
- Assisting with refurbishment and upgrade projects to improve system efficiency
Requirements:
- Recognised mechanical or HVAC qualification (Heating & Ventilation preferred)
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a building services maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
