Requirements

The Role

  • You’ll report to Group Senior Management and take full ownership of the Tarbolton service department; its people, its output and its profitability.
  • It’s hands‑on. You’ll be close to the technical work, not just the spreadsheets.
  • Manage day-to-day workshop and field service operations.
  • Plan and prioritise workloads across the engineering team.
  • Drive workshop efficiency, quality and profitability.
  • Support technical decisions and oversee standards of workmanship.
  • Handle warranty claims and liaise with the warranty department.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues across Hamilton Ross Group.
  • Spot opportunities to improve and act on them.

What You’ll Bring

  • You know agricultural machinery.
  • You know how to lead people.
  • Proven management experience in agricultural, groundcare, construction or plant machinery.
  • Strong technical knowledge of agricultural machinery repair and maintenance.
  • A track record of leading and developing a skilled team.
  • Sharp communication skills — with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Commercial awareness and sound decision‑making.
  • Good IT skills and a practical approach to problem‑solving.
