Hamilton Ross Group is a leading authorised Wacker Neuson dealer — one of the world’s most respected compact and midi plant brands. We’re looking for an experienced and commercially driven Sales Representative to take ownership of our east coast Scotland territory and grow our construction equipment customer base. This is a field-based role suited to someone who already knows how to sell capital equipment, build strong customer relationships, and manage a territory independently. If you have a proven track record in plant, construction, or related equipment sales, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Manage and develop the east coast Scotland territory, maintaining and growing a strong portfolio of active accounts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with groundworks contractors, civil engineers, plant hire companies, utilities firms, landscapers, builders and local authorities
  • Conduct planned and prospecting visits across the territory, building a healthy pipeline of new and repeat business
  • Qualify customer requirements — understanding project timescales, machine specifications, budgets and buying processes
  • Carry out product demonstrations on-site and at our depot
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity, visits and opportunities using our CRM system
  • Attend dealer days, product launches, trade shows and industry events to develop your network and stay ahead of the market
  • Work closely with our aftersales and service teams to ensure customers receive a seamless experience

Who We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in capital equipment, plant, construction machinery or a closely related field sales role
  • A demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to manage a territory independently and structure your own day effectively
  • Natural ability to build rapport and communicate confidently with business owners, directors, site managers and operators
  • Strong technical understanding of compact and midi plant, or the ability to quickly develop it
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good IT literacy for CRM, reporting and day-to-day communications
  • Knowledge of the east coast Scotland market and established contacts in the construction or plant sector would be a significant advantage

What We Offer

  • Competitive basic salary plus an uncapped commission scheme rewarding your results
  • Company vehicle, fuel card and mobile phone
  • Full product support from Wacker Neuson factory specialists and ongoing training on new equipment
  • Clear career progression within an established and growing dealership
  • Company pension and 30 days holiday per annum including public and bank holidays
  • The backing of one of the world’s leading compact and midi plant manufacturers
  • A stable, well-respected family-run business trading for more than 90 years across Central Scotland
