We are seeking an experienced AV Senior BIM Technician to join our growing design team. This role willbe responsible forproducing and coordinating high-quality BIM and CAD information across a range of AV and workplace technology projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, Designers, Engineers,Consultantsand Installation Teams, you will help transform project requirements intoaccurate,practicaland coordinated design solutions. You will also playan important rolein supporting the development of our BIM standards, processes and digital design capabilities as Hamilton Robson continues to grow.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge ofBIM andRevit,excellent attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of design deliverables across multiple projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Produce and coordinate detailed2D AutoCAD and 3D Revitdrawings and models for AV and workplace technology projects.
- Developaccurate,practicaland buildable design solutions that meet project and client requirements.
- Coordinate BIM information with internal teams, consultants,contractorsand wider project stakeholders.
- Review models and drawings, supportingclash detection and resolutionusing Revit, Navisworks and other relevant platforms.
- Lead the coordination and delivery of BIM design packages across multiple projects, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
- Contribute to the development ofRevit families, templates,standardsand digital workflows,identifyingopportunities for automation and improved efficiency.
- Support the use of emerging technologies, includingAI-assisted workflows, to improve design efficiency and quality.
- Manage project information through relevant Common Data Environments and ensure design deliverables areaccurate, coordinated and delivered within agreed timescales.
What We're Looking For
- Proven professional experience working within aBIM/Revit environment.
- Strong working knowledge ofAutodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience producing detailed technical drawings and 3D models.
- Experience working on complex projects within AV, IT, electrical, construction,engineeringor specialist fit-out environments.
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination and model management.
- Experience usingNavisworksfor coordination and clash detection.
- Good understanding of BIM standards and processes, ideally includingISO 19650.
- Ability to interpret project requirements and developaccurate, practical design solutions.
- Experience working collaboratively with clients, consultants,contractorsand multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
- Experience specifically withinAV, workplacetechnologyor specialist fit-out.
- Knowledge of Dynamo, Python,pyRevit,AutoLISPor similar automation tools.
- Experience developing Revit families,templatesand BIM content.
- Experience working with Common Data Environments such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360.
- An interest in emerging technologies,automationand AI-assisted design workflows.
- Relevant BIM,Revitor construction-related qualifications.
