We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cooks to join our team for work within schools across the Wigan region.
Location: Wigan
Pay Rate: From £15.00/hour
Start Date: September
Shifts: Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am - 2pm (may vary depending on the school)
What You'll Do:
- Prepare food to a high standard and adhering to menu specifications
- Ensure kitchen is fully equipped and in good working condition, reporting any issues to be resolved by management
- Stock the kitchen with supplies and organising stockroom, including monitoring of sell-by dates and rotating stock
- Monitor ingredients and reporting order requests
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchens and food service areas
- Follow food safety guidelines
- Report any safeguarding concerns
- Work and communicate effectively within the kitchen team and with Front of House team members
- Complete due diligence and ensuring full compliance with relevant Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations
You Should Have:
- Passion for food
- Previous experience in a chef or cook role
- Organised and good time management
- A friendly and positive attitude
- The ability to work under pressure
- Reliability and good timekeeping
