Hamilton Lodge School & College for Deaf Children is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to join us in Brighton. We are a specialist provision for young people who are deaf, offering both Day and Residential placements to learners aged 11 to 18.
The role of Catering Manager is an exciting opportunity to develop your own department. Working alongside the Bursar and Residential Manager, you will create a lunch and dinner service in line with the learners' needs and nutritional guidelines for schools. You will have budgetary control of your department, with the support of the Bursar.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant management and catering experience
- One or more of the following qualifications or equivalent: BSC (Catering), MHCIM, HND, City and Guilds 706/1 and 2, NVQ level 2 and 3, and possess an intermediate level food safety certificate.
- Good numerical and communication skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Management knowledge of health & safety and food safety.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
