A well-established and growing organisation is seeking an ambitious, proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join its transactional finance team. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting multiple entities within a dynamic group structure.

The Role

Reporting into the finance team, you will be responsible for day-to-day transactional accounting duties, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and strong financial controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier invoice processing
  • Preparing weekly payment runs
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Direct Debit collections
  • Credit card expense processing
  • Credit control
  • Setting up new clients
  • Processing client terminations, credits and scheme changes
  • Supporting client invoicing processes
  • Providing flexible support across multiple group entities as required

The Person

  • A-Level/Graduate/AAT studier/qualified or proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Sage Intacct (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Team player who can also work independently
