Your Role
As a Senior Care Assistant you will provide both hands-on support to residents and leadership to junior care staff within our local care home. Providing direct caregiving with supervisory responsibilities and supporting the new management team to ensure that our high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
- Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights of residents.
- Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members.
- Monitoring residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior management or nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected.
- Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
- Ability to develop and mentor others
- A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle due to location
