Location: 1 Main Street, South Church, Bishop Auckland DL14 6SL

Hours: 44 Hours/Week (days and alternate weekends)

Salary: £13.40 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.)
  • Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights of residents
  • Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members
  • Monitor residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior management or nursing staff
  • Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected
  • Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
