Senior Care Assistant – Cedar Grange
Location: Main Street, Cherry Burton, Beverley HU17 7RF Hours: 33 hours per week (nights and alternate weekends). Salary: £14.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
Your Role
As a Senior Care Assistant you will provide both hands‑on support to residents and leadership to junior care staff within the care home.
You will supervise and mentor the team, ensuring that person‑centred care is consistently delivered.
- You’ll Be Responsible For
- Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
- Promoting dignity, independence, and the individual rights of residents.
- Supervising and supporting junior care staff and new team members.
- Monitoring residents’ conditions and reporting any changes to senior management or nursing staff.
- Communicating effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected.
- Ensuring the care environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
