Hamilton College is a non-denominational Christian Independent School for children and young people from the ages of 2-18. The school encompasses Nursery, Junior and Senior levels generating a truly ‘family’ atmosphere for the individual as they journey through the school.

An opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant Nursery. The successful candidate should be able to interact effectively with children and work successfully within a small team. We are looking for applicants who can show initiative and independence of thought and action, within the school’s policy framework.

A qualification in Early Years is essential. This may be an SCQF 6 – 9, SVQ Level 3, HNC or other equivalent qualification. The ability to communicate well with our parents, carers, and staff and being supportive of the ethos of the College are essential for the post.

The successful applicant should be registered with SSSC, must be either an existing member of the PVG Scheme or be prepared to join this scheme and prove their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment. An offer of employment will be subject to two satisfactory references and a clean report from Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme.

Interviews: Week beginning 15 December 2025

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. This is an all year post.

Hours: 40 hours per week. Worked between the hours of 8am – 6pm, subject to staffing schedules.
