Hamilton (Building Contractors) Ltd is one of the largest and longest-standing specialist façade contractors in the UK, working as both main contractor and subcontractor on a wide range of high-profile projects. We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive Document Controller to join our team during an exciting period of growth. This is a key role supporting the successful delivery of our façade projects, including EWI, recladding, refurbishment, and new build schemes. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management, control, and distribution of project documentation, maintaining accuracy, compliance, and clear communication across all teams.

You will work closely with project teams, commercial staff, and site personnel, playing a vital role in maintaining the integrity of project information and supporting smooth project delivery from start to completion. Working from our Southern office in Dartford, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain document control systems, procedures, and project registers
  • Manage drawings, revisions, and document workflows
  • Distribute documentation to project teams and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with document naming conventions and company standards
  • Archive project documentation and prepare handover packs
  • Support audits and quality assurance processes
  • Monitor document status, approvals, and version control
  • Assist project teams with document uploads and system use
  • Ensure confidentiality, data security, and proper document access
  • Identify and escalate risks relating to document control and compliance
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation, standards, and technical documentation

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a document control role within the construction industry
