HR Manager (Mat Cover): 6-12 month fixed-term contract
As the HR Manager, you will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organisation on strategic initiatives. As this role is a Maternity cover, you'll help to enhance the firms human resources by planning and implementing HR policies, programs and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Support and manage Payroll and benefits for employees.
- Recruit and onboarding of new hires.
- Conduct performance management and get involved in various projects including benchmarking, retention and long service awards, benefits reviews etc.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice.
- Ensure that all HR matters are handled confidentially and consistently.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven HR generalist experience.
- Ability to communicate HR related issues with senior management, including financial aspects.
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
- Experience in developing and supporting line managers is critical.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
- Self-starter and able to work under own autonomy.
- Solid working knowledge of employment legislation and its application in a small business
