Hamilton Boyd Events is seeking a Sales & Events Coordinator to join our team at 8 Northumberland Avenue. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event sales, account management, and operations within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As part of our venue and agency team, you’ll be involved in selling meeting spaces, supporting venue sourcing for clients, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating key event elements. This role offers a full-spectrum view of the events industry, covering sales, venue management, catering, and production, providing an invaluable foundation for your career in events.

About the Role
This paid placement is offered as a one-year placement and provides a structured learning experience in event sales and account management. What You’ll Be Doing
- Convert meeting room enquiries into confirmed bookings, ensuring smooth handover to operations.
- Build professional relationships and provide exceptional client service.
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to support revenue growth.
Agency Support
- Assist Hamilton Boyd Events Agency with venue sourcing, supplier liaison, and proposal development.
- Help plan, coordinate and attend client familiarisation trips.
- Prepare detailed proposals and budgets that align with client needs and business objectives.
Event & Operations Coordination
- Manage client relationships, from initial enquiry to event execution.
- Assist in building function sheets and event timelines.
- Ensure seamless delivery by coordinating with venue staff, suppliers, and operations teams.
- Support with signage, event briefings, and staffing logistics.
- Leverage Hamilton Boyd Events’ extensive industry network to find the best venues and suppliers for clients.
- Ensure all logistical and contractual elements are efficiently managed.
Problem Solving & Innovation
- Provide creative solutions to event planning challenges.
- Offer insights on process improvements and sales strategies.
- Contribute ideas to enhance the overall client experience.
