We are seeking an experienced Rubrik Implementation Engineer to join a global technology services organisation on a 6-month hybrid contract, based in either Warrington or Gloucester (2 days per week on-site). There are 2 positions available. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, migrating, and supporting Rubrik Backup and Recovery solutions across on-premises and cloud environments, working closely with customer infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver reliable backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and administer Rubrik Backup and Recovery solutions, deploying Rubrik agents across physical and virtual server environments
  • Configure and onboard Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and database workloads into the Rubrik platform
  • Create and manage backup policies, retention schedules, SLA domains, and recovery configurations
  • Perform backup migrations from existing Legacy solutions to Rubrik
  • Monitor backup operations, identify failures, and undertake troubleshooting activities
  • Work with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure connectivity and platform integration requirements are met
  • Configure reporting, monitoring, and alerting for backup and recovery services
  • Perform backup validation, restore testing, and disaster recovery exercises
  • Produce implementation documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Engage with Rubrik support and third-party vendors to resolve complex technical issues
  • Participate in project governance meetings and provide regular implementation status updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with customer security, data protection, and operational policies

What You Will Ideally Bring:

  • Active SC Clearance with a minimum of 3 months' validity remaining (essential - non-negotiable)
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting Rubrik Backup and Recovery solutions including CDM administration, agent installation, and cluster life cycle management (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery principles
  • Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Linux platforms
  • Experience configuring backup policies, retention schedules, SLA domains, and recovery procedures
  • Experience migrating workloads from Legacy backup platforms to Rubrik
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in backup and recovery environments
  • Experience working in enterprise infrastructure or managed services environments, with strong stakeholder management and documentation skills
  • Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments
  • Desirable: experience protecting workloads on Microsoft Azure and AWS, knowledge of Microsoft 365 backup, experience with cyber recovery and ransomware protection frameworks, Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python, and relevant certifications such as Rubrik Certified Professional (RCP), Microsoft Azure, VMware, or ITIL Foundation
