BMS Trainee Engineer!
We are working with a growing building management systems (BMS) specialist, currently the #3 Trend partner in the UK. As part of our expansion, we\’re building out a permanent in-house engineering team.
They look after a portfolio of mainly NHS properties (both static and mobile) and are expanding into the hotel sector. With strong office culture, monthly engineer meetings, and full-team involvement from day one, this is a great opportunity to be part of a company where everyone knows your name.
The Opportunity
They\’re looking for a trainee BMS Engineer to join the team. Whether you\’re a seasoned engineer or someone looking to break into BMS from an M&E, support, or military background, we\’ll build a tailored training plan to set you up for success.
You\’ll work on a range of sites using Trend and Tridium systems, and we\’ll cover all certifications and provide full on-the-job training. For trainees, this is a real opportunity to earn while you learn — think of it like a paid internship with real career progression.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Attend sites for PPM, servicing, breakdowns, and remedial works
- Shadow senior engineers as part of your development
- Provide clear and detailed reports for each job
- Be part of the on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks, once trained)
- Engage with clients and represent the company professionally
- Participate in engineer meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
What We\’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- A driven, positive attitude with genuine interest in BMS
- M&E, electrical, support, or IT background
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and be part of a close-knit team
- Willingness to commit to the training plan (note: if you leave within 12 months of taking a course, you\’ll be required to repay the training cost)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Any Trend or Tridium experience (monitoring, wiring, commissioning, etc.)
- BMS servicing or support background
Training & Development
