A leading global FinTech organisation is looking for a Head of Windows Engineering to lead and evolve its enterprise Microsoft infrastructure estate across a global environment. This is a senior technical leadership role with responsibility for a small international engineering team. The position combines hands-on technical leadership, operational ownership, automation initiatives and infrastructure project delivery within a highly available, business-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities- Own and lead the global Windows & Microsoft infrastructure environment
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a distributed engineering team
- Drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives across the estate
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
- Lead infrastructure improvement and modernisation projects
- Manage and optimise core Microsoft technologies including:
- Windows Server
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory / Entra ID
- Support hybrid cloud infrastructure environments across Azure and AWS
- Improve operational efficiency, platform reliability and security posture
- Work closely with technical operations and wider infrastructure teams globally
- Strong background in enterprise Windows infrastructure engineering
- Experience leading or mentoring technical engineering teams
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling such as Terraform
- Strong understanding of:
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory / Hybrid Identity
- Experience operating within complex, global infrastructure environments
- Strong troubleshooting and escalation management capability
Up to £125,000 basic salary per annum
Discretionary bonus
Location: West London (Hybrid 3x per week in the office)
