Software Engineer - 12 Months - Inside IR35 - UK - Multi locations to choose (Hybrid)
We are looking for an experienced Unisys Mainframe Software Engineer to join the engineering team on a core banking platform for a leading technology services organisation. You will build and change software on a critical Category A application in a major banking estate. The contract is 12 months, hybrid in the UK with a minimum of 2 days per week on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and build software in Unisys Cobol and DMS 1100
Work with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions
Analyse issues in running software and make the changes needed to resolve them
Explain the impact of changes on interfacing systems to stakeholders
Support System Test and Integration Test cycles
Work within Agile ways of working, including daily stand-ups
What You Will Ideally Bring:
6+ years' experience on Unisys Mainframes
Cobol programming
DMS 1100 (hierarchical database)
Functional knowledge of retail banking
Batch processes and job scheduling
C language (desirable)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Day Rate: £475-500 per day
