A leading UK-based technology provider is hiring a Senior Technical Engineer to support a high-profile and demanding Belgian client. You’ll play a key role as the Technical Operations Authority, building the customer relationship and leading technical efforts across a latency-sensitive Fortinet and Nutanix-heavy estate.
Clearance: Ideally SC Clearable (flexible for the right candidate)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Act as lead engineer on a major account with complex technical demands
- Handle Fortinet security infrastructure across European data centres (Brussels & Amsterdam)
- Oversee and improve FortiSwitch, FortiGate, FortiWAF, and Fortinet SD-WAN deployments
- Drive migration from Fortinet Switches to Cisco Nexus
- Lead or contribute to projects, as well as assist on critical P1 incidents
- Build a long-term partnership with the client alongside a dedicated lead tech
- Work alongside internal teams to align delivery with customer needs
What You’ll Need:
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiWAF, FortiSwitch, SD-WAN)
- Previous exposure to Nutanix and latency-sensitive environments
- Solid experience with Cisco Nexus switches (or willingness to lead migration to it)
- Ability to handle technical leadership responsibilities and represent technical direction
- Comfortable working on complex projects and high-priority support tickets
- Full eligibility to become SC Cleared preferred
- Based within commuting distance of Sheffield, Hatfield or Belfast offices
