We’re working with a global internet service provider delivering major infrastructure upgrades across two state-of-the-art datacentres. They are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to lead the charge on core projects involving VXLAN EVPN fabrics, Cisco Nexus migration, firewall integration, and load balancer deployment – all within a tightly coordinated engineering team. If you know your way around Cisco Nexus, VXLAN, EVPN, Palo Alto firewalls, and want to shape large-scale production networks from the ground up, this one’s for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Migrating from Cisco Nexus 5K to 9K across datacentres
- Building and provisioning VXLAN EVPN fabrics – switches, patching, documentation
- Onboarding Palo Alto PA-3410 firewalls and F5 load balancers into new EVPN infrastructure
- Delivering full lifecycle: design, testing, CAB presentation, deployment, validation, and documentation
- Supporting the M25 network environment analysis and incorporating findings into design
What You Bring:
- Deep understanding of VXLAN, EVPN, Cisco Nexus 5K/9K
- Solid experience with firewall implementation – ideally Palo Alto (PA-3410)
- Strong grasp of BGP, OSPF, and networking standards/protocols
- Experience with multicast and network management/diagnostic tools
- Competence in structured change management, CABs, scope definition, and implementation
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Drive to continuously learn and improve in a fast-paced enterprise environment
