We are looking for a Purview Lead to join on a 12-month hybrid contract based in Redhill (3 days on-site). The role owns the enterprise product vision for Microsoft Purview, aligned to data governance, risk, and regulatory objectives, balancing competing demands across a complex federated organisation while ensuring consistent platform adoption and ongoing BAU effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and communicate the enterprise product vision for Microsoft Purview, maintaining the product backlog and making clear prioritisation decisions across competing regulatory, security, operational, and business demands.
- Translate regulatory and governance requirements into actionable product features, policies, and platform capabilities, acting as the primary product authority for Purview.
- Work with business, risk, legal, security, and technology stakeholders to embed Purview as a trusted enterprise capability across a federated business model.
- Define and oversee service-level objectives and budgets for the live Purview platform, ensuring effective transition into BAU support and continuous improvement.
- Engage senior stakeholders across divisions, setting expectations, communicating progress, and providing clear options and recommendations where priorities conflict.
What You Will Ideally Bring
- Proven experience as a Product Owner owning enterprise-scale platforms in complex, regulated environments, with deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (v2).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview capabilities including data classification, sensitivity labelling, data cataloguing, lineage, retention, compliance, and governance controls across hybrid and multi-cloud estates.
- Strong understanding of modern data governance frameworks and regulatory drivers, with experience translating compliance requirements into platform features and policies.
- Experience operating within federated organisations, balancing central governance control with local business autonomy.
- Strong Agile product management capability including backlog ownership, prioritisation, and roadmap management using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
