We are looking for an experienced SAP Platform Architect to join an enterprise architectural governance team supporting large-scale SAP cloud transformation programmes within a complex enterprise environment.
In this role, you will provide architectural assurance and governance across SAP cloud platforms, ensuring solution designs align with enterprise standards for security, scalability, resilience, and integration. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, third-party system integrators, and architecture governance forums to review and guide solution delivery across multiple SAP cloud applications. This role is focused on governance, assurance, and architectural oversight rather than hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide architectural assurance and governance across SAP cloud platforms including SAP Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, and SuccessFactors
- Review and approve solution architectures, integration designs, and non-functional requirements
- Govern integration patterns between SAP platforms, enterprise systems, and third-party vendors
- Work closely with system integrators to ensure adherence to architecture standards and principles
- Lead and participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) and governance forums
- Conduct architecture reviews, documenting risks, findings, recommendations, and decisions
- Ensure alignment with enterprise cloud, security, data, and integration standards
- Identify architectural risks early and provide actionable guidance to delivery teams
- Maintain architecture artefacts, standards, and governance documentation
- Strong experience as an SAP Platform Architect or Solution Architect within large enterprise environments
- Proven knowledge of SAP cloud applications including Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, and SuccessFactors
- Strong understanding of SAP cloud architecture and enterprise integration patterns
- Experience operating within architecture governance, assurance, or design authority functions
- Experience reviewing third-party solution designs and working closely with system integrators
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to lead Architecture Review Boards and governance activities
- Experience working within regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
- Duration: 12 months
- Day Rate: Negotiable
- Determination: Inside IR35
- Location: Hybrid - Reading (2-3 days onsite per week)
