Power System Network Model Engineer - 6 months - Inside IR35 - On Site in Wokingham Role Overview A 6-month office-based contract role in Wokingham (5 days on-site), for an experienced Power System Network Model Engineer.
The role is responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and validating the Energy Management System (EMS) Network Model across the transmission network, ensuring accurate representation of substations, assets, topology, telemetry, and operational equipment.
The position directly supports critical EMS functions including State Estimation, Contingency Analysis, Load Flow Analysis, and Real Time Operations.
Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance Transmission EMS Network Models, creating and managing device relationships across all key network assets including substations, transformers, circuit breakers, HVDC assets, and SCADA telemetry points.
Build and maintain accurate connectivity and topology models within the EMS platform, performing validation, quality assurance, and data integrity checks.
Support modelling activities for new commissioning, network changes, and asset updates, ensuring consistency between EMS, SCADA, GIS, Asset Management, and Planning systems.
