A high-performance, technology-driven financial firm is seeking a Data Centre Engineer (Trading Infrastructure) to support and optimize its global low-latency trading infrastructure, with a strong focus on networking and switching technologies. This role focuses on maintaining, deploying, and troubleshooting hardware in both local and international data centre environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, switches, and structured cabling
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support low-latency trading infrastructure, ensuring optimal network performance
  • Perform hands-on support at local data centres; assist with international setups as needed
  • Manage rack builds, hardware upgrades, and infrastructure rollouts
  • Maintain high operational standards for power, cooling, and cabling

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience working in low-latency trading, HPC, or colocation data centres
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (Layer 1–3), switching technologies, and hands-on experience with vendors like Arista, Cisco, or Juniper
  • Ability to log in to switches, perform basic configurations, diagnostics, and packet-level troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with server hardware components such as NICs, SSDs, GPUs, FPGAs, and transceivers
  • Exposure to Linux systems (command line and basic performance/debug tools)
  • Ability to operate independently in high-pressure environments, manage competing priorities, and travel locally as needed
