Network Engineer - 6-Month Contract - Coventry (3 days onsite) - Inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, resilient network infrastructure across IT and OT environments. In this role, you'll deliver network components for a Cyber Security and Zero Trust Architecture programme, ensuring reliable connectivity across critical business and operational systems while supporting compliance, resilience, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise and OT network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity solutions
- Deliver network components for Cyber Security and Zero Trust Architecture programmes, ensuring adherence to security and governance standards
- Configure and support routing, switching, Firewall, VPN, and network segmentation technologies across complex environments
- Lead network transformation and infrastructure upgrade projects from design through implementation and operational handover
- Support secure IT/OT convergence through industrial DMZs and controlled connectivity between operational and enterprise networks
What You Will Ideally Bring
- Strong hands-on expertise with Check Point technologies
- Solid experience in cloud networking, with a strong understanding of cloud network components and their integration with enterprise networks
- Practical experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki wireless networking, ideally covering VPN technologies too
- Desirable, experience in Water Utilities, Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), Energy, or other regulated environments, plus certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AWS Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer Associate
