You’ll work in a consultative capacity, designing and delivering automation solutions for customers operating large, sophisticated network environments. If you’re comfortable working independently, enjoy autonomy, and want to apply deep networking expertise through Python, Terraform, and CI/CD - this is a genuinely grown-up, engineering-led role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and delivering network automation solutions in a consultative, customer-facing capacity
  • Translating traditional networking requirements into automated, repeatable workflows
  • Building and maintaining automation using Python and Terraform
  • Integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines for consistent, reliable network delivery
  • Automating configuration, provisioning, and lifecycle management across Cisco-based networks
  • Working extensively with REST APIs to interact with network and platform services
  • Supporting cloud and containerised deployments, including Kubernetes-based environments
  • Applying deep routing knowledge to automate complex network architectures
  • Working independently in a fully remote setup, owning delivery from design through implementation
  • Collaborating with customers and internal teams to drive adoption of automation best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in network automation and engineering roles
  • Proven hands‑on automation and scripting capability using: Python, Terraform, CI/CD tooling and pipelines
  • Deep understanding of IP routing and service provider / large-scale network technologies, including: BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, L3VPN, L2VPN, & mVPN
  • Solid understanding of REST API concepts (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc.)
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and modern cloud deployment technologies
  • Strong Cisco or Juniper networking background
  • Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision in a remote environment
  • Clear communicator who can engage customers in a consultative, solutions-led manner

Why This Role

  • Fully remote role with UK-wide flexibility
  • Strong focus on engineering quality and modern network practices
  • Exposure to cloud-native and containerised networking environments
