You’ll be responsible for:
- Proactively responding to alarms and minimising service outages.
- Promptly performing the necessary actions to restore service during degradation or outage conditions.
- Escalating incidents as per procedures and effectively communicating with stakeholders.
- Conducting regular checks on systems and services to ensure reliability.
- Monitoring distress traffic in the network and taking immediate action if needed.
- Identifying opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency.
- Actively contributing to continuous improvement by presenting ideas and creating efficient operational and technical processes.
- Providing support, coaching, and training to other engineers and teams.
Good understanding of satellite communication networks, systems, and propagation. Knowledge of VSAT, Ka-band, L Band, and C bands. Familiarity with digital communication networks, protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, routing), and architecture (routers, switches, firewalls). Previous NOC experience.
Up to £40,000 basic salary per annum.
