The Role
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Python Developer to join a technology team working on enterprise applications within the financial services sector. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable applications and APIs, working closely with architects, business stakeholders, QA, and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable applications and microservices using Python and Flask.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Develop responsive web interfaces using JavaScript and modern frameworks.
- Design and optimise MongoDB databases, queries, indexes, and aggregation pipelines.
- Write Shell/Bash scripts for automation and operational support.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis in Linux/Unix environments.
- Contribute to CI/CD, testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Work within Agile teams and contribute to technical design and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong Python and Flask experience.
- Proven experience developing REST APIs and enterprise applications.
- Strong MongoDB/NoSQL experience.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix and Bash Scripting.
- Front End experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with React.js or Angular.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
