Our client, a leading IT consultancy, is looking for two Android Engineers to join a consumer servicing and engagement programme. You will design, build and maintain secure, production-ready Android applications, working closely with product owners, designers and Back End engineers. This is a 12-month contract, Inside IR35, based in London or Bristol.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain mobile applications for the Android ecosystem
Implement modern UI using Jetpack Compose and Material Design, working closely with product teams
Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL and third-party services into secure, high-performing applications
Build, test, debug and deploy apps across Android versions and devices, optimising performance and memory use
Contribute to code quality standards, code reviews and reusable component libraries
What You Will Ideally Bring
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Flutter, with proven experience building and releasing Android apps
Expertise with Android Studio, Jetpack Compose and Core Android components (Activities, Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers)
Solid grounding in MVVM, MVI, MVC or Clean Architecture, with push notifications, background services and app life cycle management
Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and unit and UI testing (JUnit, Espresso), working in an Agile/Scrum team
Desirable: CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, Bitrise or GitHub Actions)
