A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Lead IT Engineer to become the trusted technology partner for its London operation. This is a highly visible role supporting senior stakeholders within a fast-paced, high-performance environment. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional technology experience, combining hands-on support, Microsoft infrastructure ownership, endpoint management, and executive-level user engagement. This is not a traditional ticket-queue role. The successful candidate will be trusted to take ownership of the environment, solve problems independently, and act as the go-to technology expert across the business.

The Role

You will support a sophisticated Microsoft environment while working closely with senior business users, ensuring technology remains secure, reliable, and operating at the highest standard.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support across desktop, infrastructure and end-user technologies
  • Acting as a trusted technology partner for senior stakeholders and executive users
  • Managing Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Administering Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy and user lifecycle management
  • Managing Intune, endpoint compliance and device deployments
  • Supporting Windows and macOS environments
  • Troubleshooting networking, VPN, Wi-Fi and connectivity issues
