A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to become the trusted technology partner for its London operation. This is a highly visible role supporting senior stakeholders within a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment. You’ll be responsible for delivering an exceptional technology experience, combining hands‑on support, Microsoft infrastructure ownership, endpoint management, and executive-level user engagement. This is not a traditional ticket‑queue role. The successful candidate will be trusted to take ownership of the environment, solve problems independently, and act as the go‑to technology expert across the business.
You’ll support a sophisticated Microsoft environment while working closely with senior business users, ensuring technology remains secure, reliable, and operating at the highest standard.
Responsibilities- Delivering 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support across desktop, infrastructure and end‑user technologies
- Acting as a trusted technology partner for senior stakeholders and executive users
- Managing Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Administering Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy and user lifecycle management
- Managing Intune, endpoint compliance and device deployments
- Supporting Windows and macOS environments
- Troubleshooting networking, VPN, Wi‑Fi and connectivity issues
- Managing hardware refreshes, office technology and meeting room environments
- Supporting multiple UK locations through regular onsite visits
- Maintaining documentation, technical standards and security controls
- Driving continuous improvements across user experience and operational processes
- Strong experience within an IT Engineer, EUC Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Systems Administrator role
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and demanding user communities
- Entra ID / Azure AD and Active Directory expertise
- Intune and endpoint management experience
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Full UK driving licence
