This Network Automation Engineer role is built for someone who enjoys solving complex networking problems through code, automation, and modern delivery pipelines. You'll work in a consultative capacity, designing and delivering automation solutions for customers operating large, sophisticated network environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and delivering network automation solutions in a consultative, customer-facing capacity
  • Translating traditional networking requirements into automated, repeatable workflows
  • Building and maintaining automation using Python and Terraform
  • Integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines for consistent, reliable network delivery
  • Automating configuration, provisioning, and lifecycle management across Cisco-based networks
  • Working extensively with REST APIs to interact with network and platform services
  • Supporting cloud and containerised deployments, including Kubernetes-based environments
  • Applying deep routing knowledge to automate complex network architectures
  • Working independently in a fully remote setup, owning delivery from design through implementation
  • Collaborating with customers and internal teams to drive adoption of automation best practices

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in network automation and engineering roles
  • Proven hands-on automation and scripting capability using: Python, Terraform, CI/CD tooling and pipelines
  • Deep understanding of IP routing and service provider / large-scale network technologies, including: BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, L3VPN, L2VPN, & mVPN
  • Solid understanding of REST API concepts (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc.)
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and modern cloud deployment technologies
  • Strong Cisco or Juniper networking background
  • Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision in a remote environment
  • Clear communicator who can engage customers in a consultative, solutions-led manner
