A leading Microsoft Partner is seeking an experienced Azure Architect to join their growing cloud and infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of Microsoft Cloud technologies, designing and supporting enterprise-scale Azure and hybrid cloud environments, with a strong focus on Azure HCL Stack / Azure Stack HCI, virtualization, and modern cloud architecture.
The Azure Architect will provide advanced technical leadership and support across multiple locations, with responsibility for architecting, implementing, and optimising Azure and hybrid infrastructure platforms. The position requires strong experience across Azure architecture, Azure HCL Stack, and virtualization technologies, alongside excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Azure architectures, including networking, security, identity, and governance.
- Lead the deployment and ongoing management of Azure HCL Stack / Azure Stack HCI solutions.
- Define and support Azure landing zones aligned to Microsoft best practices and the Well-Architected Framework.
- Deliver hybrid and cloud migration projects from on-premises to Azure.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Provide advanced IT support across multiple sites, supporting users from graduate to Director level.
- Build, migrate, and maintain Microsoft Server environments.
- Manage and support desktop, server, and virtualized infrastructure platforms.
- Administer and support Azure, Active Directory / Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365.
- Implement and manage Azure services including Azure Defender, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, and Azure Networking.
- Configure and support Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instances, and associated data services.
- Manage and optimise Hyper-V and Azure Stack HCI environments.
- Support hybrid cloud workloads spanning on-premises and Azure.
- Experience with VMware is beneficial.
- Work effectively with technical and non-technical teams across multiple locations.
- Communicate complex technical and architectural concepts clearly.
- Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure, tooling, and support processes.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working across Microsoft Azure environments.
- Proven experience in Azure architecture design and deployment.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Server, Azure, Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Stack HCI / Azure HCL Stack.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, governance, and identity.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
- Exposure to AKS (Kubernetes), SaaS platforms, and data warehousing solutions.
- Experience with Dell backup and replication, Dell storage, and VDI technologies.
