The organization is currently on the lookout for a Data Centre Engineer to join a critical data centre infrastructure team in London on a 24/7 shift rotation. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and reliable, with hardware break-fix as the core focus of the role and cabling as a secondary skill, working shifts including nights with genuine development opportunities on offer.

Responsibilities:

  • Hardware break-fix across data centre environments, diagnosis, repair, and replacement of failed components
  • Working across hard drives, memory, system boards, processors, and HP rack-level kit
  • Structured cabling, installation, patching, and cable management to a professional standard
  • Maintaining data centre standards, clean, organised, and operationally robust environments
  • Shift-based coverage across Lewisham (primary) and Canary Wharf sites
  • Contributing to a 24/7 operation on a rotating 3-week day/night shift pattern

Skills/Must Have:

  • Hands-on data centre hardware experience, break-fix is the core requirement
  • Comfortable working with hard drives, memory, system boards, processors, and HP L-kit
  • Structured cabling experience, neat, accurate, and professional
  • Reliable and punctual, 24/7 shift operations depend on it
  • Comfortable with night shifts, the rotation is moving toward a 2pm–2am window
  • London-based and able to commute to Lewisham

Working Pattern:

  • 24/7 rotating shift pattern, day and night shifts over a 3-week rotation
  • Shift pattern currently moving toward 2pm–2am coverage

Salary:

  • Total package £49,618
  • £42,500 + £1,960 London Allowance + £5,158 Shift Allowance
