In this role, you will lead the engineering direction for a Google Cloud-based Data Centre Extension (DCX) platform, supporting secure and scalable IaaS capabilities across compute, networking, automation, and observability. You will guide a team of engineers while contributing directly to cloud engineering, automation, and platform improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, and operation of Google Cloud infrastructure and IaaS platform services.
- Manage and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers while driving engineering standards and best practices.
- Define platform strategy, roadmap, and engineering priorities across GCP infrastructure services.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Support secure-by-design cloud infrastructure including networking, monitoring, logging, and key management.
- Drive automation, observability, reliability, and platform optimisation initiatives.
- Collaborate with architecture, platform, and feature teams to evolve cloud capabilities and reusable patterns.
- Support operational governance including SLO/SLI management, resilience, and compliance.
