SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant - 12-Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Plant Based (Birmingham, Liverpool, Wolverhampton, or Solihull)
We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant to support the design, configuration, implementation, and production support of SAP Extended Warehouse Management solutions. In this role, you'll work closely with business users, warehouse operations, and IT teams to ensure efficient warehousing, inventory accuracy, and process optimisation, mapping business requirements to SAP S/4HANA EWM processes across a live manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support SAP BAU operations, implementing, configuring, and optimising SAP EWM on HANA for inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, and inventory processes
- Integrate SAP EWM with other SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, QM, LE) and external automation systems (RF, conveyors, ASRS, AGVs)
- Configure key EWM master data including storage types, warehouse structure, work centres, resources, and packaging specifications, alongside putaway, picking, slotting, replenishment, and wave management processes
- Manage RF processes, labour management, and warehouse order creation rules, providing end-user training, SOP documentation, and knowledge transfer
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP EWM issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support testing cycles including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and cutover activities
What You Will Ideally Bring
- Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics processes, with experience working in SAP S/4HANA EWM solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements into SAP EWM configurations, with hands-on experience in implementation, rollout, or production support
- Comfortable working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Desirable, experience with SAP EWM on S/4HANA (Embedded or Decentralised), advanced warehouse processes (Yard Management, Cross-Docking, Slotting & Rearrangement, Wave and labour-oriented picking), and knowledge of Lean Warehousing or compliance/audit requirements
