Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts across SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms
• Triage and investigate first-line security events
• Escalate complex or high-priority incidents to Tier 2
• Follow established playbooks and processes for incident handling
• Assist with initial containment actions under guidance
• Document findings and maintain accurate incident records
• Support senior analysts during live security events
• Learn and contribute to detection and response improvements

Skills/Must Have:

• Experience in a SOC or security operations environment
• Understanding of common cyber threats and attack techniques
• Exposure to SIEM and EDR/XDR platforms
• Basic networking and firewall knowledge
• Willingness to learn Fortinet technologies
• Ability to follow structured processes and elevate appropriately
• Good communication skills

Salary:

• £30,000 - £35,000 base salary per annum
