The successful candidate will lead a dedicated Security team as the Senior Security Engineer (Team Leader), combining hands‑on platform engineering with technical and people leadership. They will take ownership of platform maintenance, engineering standards, and architectural decisions across a Microsoft Defender-focused security environment, while acting as the primary escalation point for complex and high‑priority incidents.
In addition, they will manage and mentor a team of Security Engineers and Analysts, providing technical direction, operational oversight, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis and Escalation
- Rule Tuning, Log Ingestion
- Maintenance of Platform Architecture
- Detection Engineering
Skills/Must have:
- Strong Defender Suite knowledge: Defender XDR, Endpoint, Identity
- Sentinel One (SOAR Automation, Playbook operations, Logic Apps)
- Purview (DLP)
- Vulnerability Management Tooling i.e. Qualys
Salary:
- £82,500 Basic Salary Per Annum
