Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines to support key business applications and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Re-engineer and modernise Legacy ETL processes, transitioning them into efficient cloud-native solutions using tools such as Snowflake, AWS, and Airflow.
- Collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions in a complex hybrid environment.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues, implementing effective monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and best practice through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Skills/Must have:
- Proven, hands-on experience as a Data Engineer in both on-premise and cloud-based environments, with the ability to bridge Legacy and modern data ecosystems.
- Strong working knowledge of Teradata and Informatica, with practical experience in managing and modernising traditional ETL workflows.
- Proficient in building scalable data pipelines using modern tools such as Airflow, DBT, AWS Glue, and handling large volumes of structured and semi-structured data.
- Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and workflow orchestration.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing principles, and techniques for performance tuning and optimisation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD, version control, and agile development methodologies.
