The team is hiring a Technical Specialist – Safety & Security to provide subject matter expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced safety and security systems. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the integration of cutting-edge technologies across diverse projects.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the technical design authority for safety and security projects
- Producing low-level designs and configuration templates for engineering teams
- Supporting sales teams with pre-sales technical input and solution design
- Overseeing project delivery to ensure designs meet client specifications
- Providing 3rd-line technical support for complex issues
- Mentoring and developing the safety and security engineering team
- Engaging directly with customers to provide consultancy and solution briefings
Work With:
- VMS platforms: Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, IndigoVision, Pelco
- Access control: Gallagher, Lenel, PAC, Genetec
- Integrated platforms for single-pane-of-glass security management
- Windows Server / Virtualisation / VMs
- Networking fundamentals (CCNA-level) – routing, switching, VLANs
Requirements:
- 5+ years designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise-grade security systems
- Experience with at least one leading VMS and one enterprise access control platform
- Proven track record of producing low-level designs for engineering delivery
- Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and virtualisation
- CCNA-level networking knowledge or equivalent experience
- Comfortable working in public sector environments – NPPV clearable
- Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
