We are partnered with a UK-based specialist cloud hosting and managed IT services provider focusing on secure, scalable hosted desktop and private cloud solutions for professional services firms, particularly in the accountancy sector. They operate infrastructure from multiple UK data centres and combine reliable technology with high-quality UK-based support, ensuring resilient performance, strong data protection and seamless access to key business applications. Their services also include disaster recovery, backup solutions and cloud migrations, all delivered with a customer‐centric approach and deep technical expertise.
They are now seeking a Senior Infrastructure Project Engineer to join them in a customer‐facing delivery role focused on migrating and onboarding customers to the Managed Cloud platform and uplifting existing customers through well‐planned change. You will join an established projects function and work alongside an experienced projects engineer. The work is varied: from onboarding cohorts of new firms (30–100+ at a time) to executing focused upgrades for existing customers.
You will orchestrate the full customer project lifecycle, scoping, design, build, migration, cutover, hypercare, and handover, coordinating closely with delivery assistants, support, and the customer's stakeholders. While the role isn’t primarily data‐centre back‐end projects, you will regularly "touch" our DC stack (firewalls, VMware, storage, backup) to ensure customer services run comfortably and securely in our cloud.
