This opportunity is for a Senior Commercial Manager to oversee commercial and cost management activities on a high-profile mission-critical data center project. Working alongside project management, BIM, scheduling, and construction teams, the role focuses on managing complex MEP packages while contributing to the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, benchmarking analysis, BOQs, and tender documentation
- Evaluate tender returns and provide commercial recommendation reports
- Proactively manage change management, assessing scope changes and their cost/programme impacts
- Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, valuations, and earned value analysis for MEP packages
- Conduct quantity take-offs using BIM-enabled software and digital construction tools
- Oversee contractor final accounts and maintain accurate commercial records
- Coordinate with stakeholders across commercial, project delivery, and construction functions
- Monitor contractor insurances, warranties, and compliance requirements
Skills/Must Have:
- 5+ years post-qualification experience in MEP Quantity Surveying
- Strong understanding of MEP systems within Data Centre or Mission Critical construction
- Proven experience in cost control, procurement, forecasting, and subcontractor management
- Contract administration knowledge and strong commercial awareness
- Proficiency in QS software (CostX, Cubit, or equivalent)
- Experience with BIM-enabled workflows and digital construction tools
