The leading consultancy firm has partnered with a leading banking firm in the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join the team on a 6-month contract based in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Create strategic engineering guardrails to guide teams in selecting appropriate security patterns based on use case, platform, and environment.
- Document detailed, platform-specific security implementation steps for technologies like GCP, Azure, and AWS.
- Apply cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, access control) across GCP and Azure environments to meet compliance standards.
- Lead user acceptance testing to ensure engineering patterns are technically accurate, usable, and meet team needs in real-world scenarios.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of GCP and Azure security practices, including IAM, encryption, and secure configuration.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed engineering patterns and guardrails that are practical and user-friendly.
- Understanding of data protection regulations and experience ensuring that security implementations meet governance and compliance requirements.
Duration: 6 months (with view for extension)
Location: Hybrid - London
