The team is hiring a Radio Engineer (Hampshire) to install, configure, and maintain radio communication systems across diverse environments. The role will focus on ensuring signal quality, system reliability, and compliance with technical standards while supporting ongoing service projects. Responsibilities- Perform site surveys and produce documentation (e.g. PMIs, survey reports)
- Assist sales team with technical scoping, demos, and quotes
- Design, configure, and install new communications systems
- Carry out bench repairs, RF diagnostics, and fault rectification
- Provide on-site and remote first-line technical support
- Set up and support systems for live events (includes some weekend work)
- Configure, install, and maintain static and mobile systems
- Join the 24/7 support rota for key clients (with time in lieu or OT)
- Ensure systems are delivered and commissioned to company standards
- Keep detailed records of system builds, installations, and updates
- Collaborate with wider engineering and sales teams across all projects
- Experience with radio comms (Motorola, Hytera, Icom, Kirisun, Caltta preferred)
- Engineering or technical installation background essential
- Solid RF diagnostics and system fault-finding skills
- IT/networking knowledge desirable (but not essential)
- Able to lift and move equipment (manual handling involved)
- Strong team player with great time management and communication skills
- Willing to travel and work occasional weekends or bank holidays
- Right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
