We are partnered with a global Cisco Gold Partner that has secured a major 5-year network transformation programme supporting three leading Oil & Gas organisations. The programme focuses on consolidating, modernising, and future-proofing large-scale enterprise network infrastructure across Scotland.
As part of this long-term initiative, we are seeking six experienced Network Implementation Engineers and Network Consultant Engineers to deliver key elements of the transformation. This is a hybrid contract role, offering flexibility to work from any Scottish city, with limited on-site presence. This opportunity is ideal for engineers who enjoy working on complex, enterprise-scale Cisco environments and want to be part of a stable, multi-year programme of work.

Responsibilities- Deliver network design, implementation, and transformation activities across enterprise environments
- Work on large-scale Cisco routing, switching, security, and data centre technologies
- Support network consolidation and modernisation initiatives across multiple organisations
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, architects, and stakeholders
- Participate in troubleshooting, optimisation, and handover activities
- Ensure solutions align with best practice, security standards, and programme objectives
- Strong background in Cisco Routing & Switching
- Proven experience in network design and/or network implementation
- Experience working in enterprise or large-scale network environments
- Cisco ISR & ASR Routers (2900 / 4000 / ASR1000)
- Cisco HyperFlex and UCSx
- Cisco ASA Firewalls & FirePOWER (IPS, FTD)
- Switching: 3850 / 3650 / 2960X / 4500X, VTP, STP, VSS
- Nexus (5K / 7K / 9K), vPC, VDC
- IPSec VPN configuration and support
- SD-WAN, DNAC, Prime Infrastructure
- Cisco Wireless β 9800 Series WLCs
- Cisco Meraki (Switching, Wireless, Security)
- Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
- Cisco ACI
- Cloud networking exposure (Azure / AWS)
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- Cisco DevNet APIs / SDKs
- Experience with HP and Aruba networking platforms
- Location: Scotland (Hybrid β 2 days per week on-site, any Scottish city)
- Contract Type: Contract β Outside IR35
- Duration: 6 months initially (part of a secured 5-year programme)
