The team is hiring a Linux Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain mission-critical Linux systems supporting low-latency trading environments. Responsibilities- Partner with the global Linux Engineering team on projects, changes, and on-call rotations.
- Act as the key contact between Linux Engineering and trading teams.
- Build, configure, and maintain Linux environments with Ansible in a repeatable, automated way.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Linux servers using Prometheus and command-line tools.
- Package applications, manage software repositories, and automate routine tasks.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new hardware/software solutions.
- Hands-on experience with config management tools (preferably Ansible; Puppet/Chef/SaltStack also relevant).
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar.
- Proven expertise in Linux support/engineering within high-availability environments (Red Hat, Debian, or similar).
- Skilled in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization.
