The company is looking for a hands-on IT Systems Engineer to support a cloud-focused organisation undergoing a major systems uplift programme. Following a restructure, the team now consists of one Manager and two Engineers, with this hire playing a key role in upcoming infrastructure and cloud transformation projects. The role involves improving and maintaining core infrastructure while supporting migration and upgrade work as the business modernises its environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain production infrastructure and core systems
- Work across Azure cloud environments
- Manage and troubleshoot VMware virtualisation platforms
- Support O365, DHCP, and network monitoring systems
- Contribute to ongoing migration and systems upgrade projects
- Provide generalist infrastructure support across Windows and Linux systems
Skills / Must Have:
- 5+ years in an IT Infrastructure/Systems Engineering role
- Strong hands‑on infrastructure experience
- Azure certification(s) (or actively working towards)
- Exposure to Linux and VMware environments
- Broad generalist infrastructure skillset
Desirable Skills:
- Data centre experience
- Experience in cloud migration projects
Working Setup:
- Strong support for certifications and continuous learning
- Cross‑training across technologies encouraged
- Increasing focus on frequent performance‑based recognition rather than annual reviews
Location & Working Pattern:
- Location: Central London
- Hybrid: 2 days per week in office
- Hours: 9–5:30 (some out‑of‑hours work with TOIL)
