The role focuses on the configuration, administration, and optimisation of Informatica IDMC tools, including CDGC, CDQ, and Cloud Data Profiling, to support metadata management, data lineage, and data quality in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and optimise Informatica IDMC services including Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC), Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), and Cloud Data Profiling, managing tooling across 30+ enterprise systems.
- Set up and maintain connectors to integrate IDMC with various data platforms, including installation and configuration of catalog scanners for Mainframe technologies (EBCDIC/VSAM).
- Provision and manage IDMC Secure Agents and Agent Groups on Azure infrastructure, including SSO integration via Azure Entra ID (SAML) and credential management using Azure Key Vault.
- Support implementation of metadata management frameworks, business glossary, data lineage, and governance workflows, collaborating with data stewards, platform engineers, and governance teams.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation for IDMC and Azure resources using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, or Bicep, and lead testing and rollout of new IDMC features including impact assessments.
Skills / Must Have
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC - specifically CDGC, CDQ, and Cloud Data Profiling - including connector setup and catalog scanner configuration for Mainframe EBCDIC/VSAM technology.
- Experience implementing IDMC SSO via Azure Entra ID (SAML) and provisioning Secure Agents on Azure VMs with credential management via Azure Key Vault.
- Working knowledge of data governance concepts including metadata management, business glossary, data lineage, CDEs, ownership, stewardship, and issue management.
- Good SQL skills and familiarity with enterprise data platforms including Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, and MySQL.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD pipeline development, deploying and managing Azure resources using Terraform or Bicep - with a preference for experience in regulated BFSI or insurance environments.
