Responsibilities- Designing, delivering, and supporting core ISP networks (MPLS, BGP, VPLS, VXLAN, EVPN)
- Working with Juniper MX, Cisco ASR, Fortinet, Juniper SRX, and Check Point firewalls
- Driving automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet
- Supporting containerised environments with Docker
- Collaborating with a tight-knit technical team of 12 engineers, spanning helpdesk to senior specialists
- Acting as escalation for complex network issues while mentoring mid-level engineers
- 5+ years' experience in service provider or enterprise network engineering
- Strong knowledge of BGP, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, and large-scale routing protocols
- Hands‐on expertise with Juniper MX, Cisco ASR, and enterprise-grade firewalls
- Automation mindset – comfortable with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet
- Knowledge of open-source networking tools and a willingness to innovate
- Ideally CCNP/CCIE-level knowledge (formal certs not required, but rewarded with pay rises)
- Ability to thrive in a lean, multi-disciplinary ISP environment where flexibility is key
- Pay rises linked to certifications (typically +£3,000 per cert)
