This organization is seeking a Head of Networks to lead the design, build, and operation of its Mobile Core Network and infrastructure, while mentoring a team of telecom and infrastructure engineers. Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Mobile Core elements (HLR/HSS, STP/DRA, PGW, IMS) and supporting infrastructure (Cisco switching, routing, data centers, servers) along with connectivity platforms (Radius, OCS, BSS).
- Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Troubleshoot network issues and serve as the escalation point.
- Manage network projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for partner integration and continuous network evolution.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory standards, and maintain clear documentation.
- Provide on-call support for network operations.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience leading network teams in mission-critical environments, preferably in mobile or telecommunications.
- Deep knowledge of telecom protocols (SS7, GTP, Diameter, etc.) and mobile network elements (HLR/HSS, PGW/GGSN, STP/DRA, IMS).
- Strong understanding of core network protocols (IPv4, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and systems administration (Linux, Microsoft servers).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes) and scripting/coding (PowerShell/Bash, C#/.Net) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
